ABOUT//
Helios serves the Golden Kingdom under King Endymion as the High Priest of Elysion. He is assisted and served by two priestesses, called Maenads.

Elysion is a sacred place within the planet Earth, and serves as something of the planet's very own heart. It's Elysion that serves to protect the planet from within, much like an immune system powered by the bright and beautiful dreams of the humans that inhabit Earth. So long as there are humans with hopes and dreams and aspirations, so positive energy will circulate through the planet like a life stream, and nourish the darker parts, helping to revitalize struggling and barren swaths of land. Of course, as with the natural course of anything, Earth has gone through times both good and bad, and barren wastelands have come and gone with the passing centuries.

In that way, Elysion also helps Earth grow, as well. Not only does Elysion help circulate the energy generated by the hopes and dreams of humans, but Helios, like a phagocyte, can absorb nightmares and negative energy whenever a location becomes so over-saturated with that negativity that it threatens the health and stability of not only that area, but the entire planet, as well. Doing so can, over time, cause Helios to become sick enough that it deforms and transforms him into a hideous, nightmarish beast, but that's only if Helios holds onto it, and does not re-release it in a controlled manner that Earth can safely handle and process.

Helios, as the High Priest of the Golden Kingdom that serves the Golden Crystal, is also very closely tied to Endymion/Mamoru, and Mamoru, likewise, is also closely tied to the heart of Earth. Should problems arise in Elysion, Helios will develop symptoms that will also manifest in Endymion/Mamoru, crippling them both. Whenever the Golden Crystal is sealed away, Helios acquires a golden horn, which seems to channel some of its inherent power through Elysion, allowing Helios enough access to its abilities(for the sake of protecting and serving Elysion and Earth) in a roundabout way. However, as soon as the Crystal is released from its seal, Helios loses his horn.

ABILITIES//
▶ PURIFICATION: Drawing energy from Elysion(which draws power from the hopes and dreams of humanity), Helios can suppress and restore the influence of darkness. He can also contain energy that draws from sources of chaos and darkness.

▶ DREAM TRAVEL: Helios, as the keeper of dreams, is capable of entering beautiful dreams, and communicating with others through them. A beautiful dream appears to be outlined by the Sailor Moon series as hopes and aspirations that serve a noble, higher purpose that serves to better humanity and the world around them. He is also capable of hiding himself in beautiful dreams when weak, and borrow energy directly from the dreamer to sustain himself.

▶ APPARATION: Helios is capable of projecting his spirit in such a way that allows him to interact with the world around him. He is shown to have the choice between being palpable, or remaining corporeal. This ability, however, requires an established link to do so. Helios can apparate near Mamoru, given their bond through the Golden Crystal. For all others, however, Helios can only apparate when summoned by the Crystal Carillon. It requires energy to do so and remain on the surface world, so if weakened, he cannot remain long, or he could risk death. If weakened and he must remain on the surface, he must hide in beautiful dreams.

▶ BLESSING: Helios can imbue power from Elysion to keepers of Sailor Crystals, permanently empowering their abilities and any weapons that a sailor senshi might have manifested.
